Tristan O'Mara is a PhD student with the Quantitative Ecology Lab at Northern Arizona University working under Dr. Andrew Sanchez Meador. Tristan works with the Ecological Restoration Institute and the Salt River Project. Tristan's research focuses on cataloging wildfire risk and treatment prioritization decision support systems to better understand the needs for improving decision making for high valued areas at risk around the Salt and Verde watersheds. Tristan is also using remote sensing techniques, Google Earth Engine, and LiDAR to update input data layers for fuels and fire models.
