Callie Schweitzer is a Research Forester with the USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station, Upland Hardwood Forest Ecology and Management research work unit. She is located in Huntsville, AL where she studies upland hardwood silviculture in the Cumberland Plateau and associated highlands. Dr. Schweitzer received her PhD (Forest Resources) and MS (Forest Ecology) from The Pennsylvania State University, and her BS (Biology) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She completed a post-doc at the USFS's Southern Hardwood Laboratory in Stoneville, MS and worked as an Analyst for the USFS's Forest Inventory and Analysis unit.
