.Chris is a Research Forester in Silviculture at the US Forest Service Pacific Southwest Research Station. He graduated with a bachelors and masters in Forestry from Northern Arizona University in 2012. He earned a PhD in Natural Resources Science and Management from the University of Minnesota in 2017, studying ways to mitigate (or aggravate) the emerald ash borer invasion through silviculture. Since then, he has worked on national silviculture for climate change projects. He joined the PSW Research Station 2020 where he primarily studies ways to improve the success of reforestation under climate change. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, bad movies, fencing, and photography.
