Jacquie is the Soil, Ecology, and Botany Program Manager for the Tongass National Forest. She has spent 20 years working and hiking in a temperate rainforest with people who look at the world differently than she does and she is better for it. Jacquie lives in Sitka, Alaska with her family. Her favorite soil is a spodosol developed in volcanic ash.
