Over 23 years of service to The Wildlife Society, including Western Section Representative to TWS Council (6 years), Chair of the Ethnic and Gender Diversity Working Group (now the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness Working Group), and currently as President of The Wildlife Society (2023). Also a Certified Wildlife Biologist® and TWS Fellows. Active service to the Western Section of The Wildlife Society includes serving as President (2015-2016), Membership Committee Chair (20 years), and currently as the Historian.
Thirty-five years with the USDA Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region, half as a district wildlife biologist (Eldorado NF) and half as a wildlife biologist and analyst supporting regional planning (2004 Sierra Nevada Forest Plan Amendment and Forest Plan revisions for the Inyo (2019) and Sequoia and Sierra National Forests (2023). Currently serving as senior analyst in forest planning for the Pacific Planning Service Group supporting forest planning for National Forests in California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska (USFS Regions 5, 6, and 10).
