Thomas Worthley is Extension Professor for Forestry at the University of CT. With degrees from the University of Maine at Orono, he has experience with forest industry, consulting, and for the last 27 years in academia. Over a 40+ year career in the Northeast, where most forest land is privately owned Mr. Worthley's work has been guided by the notion that if woodland owners can derive benefit, pleasure and satisfaction from owning woodlands, then the forest resource is at lower risk of being converted to something different.
