The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the operational challenges and issues related to the economic sustainability of the logging industry in Virginia by comparing opinions and perspectives, of the current and future outlook for logging businesses, from industry professionals across the forest supply chain.
Learning Objectives:
Evaluate the operational challenges and issues related to the economic sustainability of the logging industry in Virginia and compare perspectives among other participants in Virginia’s forest supply chain which includes forest landowners, loggers, and mills.
Compare differences in opinions and perspectives on economic sustainability based on business owner characteristics, region, size and type of operation, as well as primary markets for products they harvest.
Compare opinions and perspectives from across the forest supply chain (landowners, loggers, and mills) on the current and future outlook of the logging industry in Virginia.
