The research simulates how prescribed burning and thinning affect wildfire behavior and damage in different forest types in East Texas. It compares the costs and benefits of different fuel treatment practices under various weather and vegetation scenarios.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand how different fuel treatment practices affect wildfire behavior and damage in East Texas forests.
Upon completion, participant will be able to evaluate the economic trade-offs of different fuel treatment practices under various weather and vegetation scenarios.
