Forest is a major contributor to carbon sequestration. In this study, we used 3DEP lidar data to estimate aboveground biomass in Indiana hardwood forests. We also estimated changes in forest biomass under different disturbances between 2017 and 2013.
Learning Objectives:
1. Explore the feasibility of using 3DEP LiDAR to estimate aboveground biomass (aboveground carbon stocks) in Indiana state forests.
2. Compare aboveground biomass (carbon stock) storage among different silvicultural treatments.
