The important role of green spaces in cities is understood, although analyses of their distribution and temporal change related to socioeconomic characteristics are more recent. This project explores urban green space changes over time, examining relationships between those changes and socioeconomic characteristics of areas surrounding them in the U.S. Midwest.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the spatial distribution of urban green spaces and changes in them that occur over time.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the role of urban greenspace managers in identifying disparities in greenspace distribution and ways to increase broader access to those areas.
