Urban Wood Utlization

Learning Objectives:

• To have a clear understanding of what a circular urban wood economy looks like at a scale that has a significant impact on carbon capture, job creation, and waste avoidance.
• To walk away with the foundational elements of what is needed to create a circular urban wood economy in their community/state and how the current pilots (Memphis, Pittsburgh and others) are addressing the challenges associated with bringing urban wood utilization to scale.
• Understand what the intersecting points of urban wood utilization are and how to appeal to different investors and funders (from workforce development to carbon capture to diverting waste and creating an economy based on a regenerative system.
