The climate of the southern US is expected to see dramatic changes in the upcoming decades – with several direct and indirect effects on forest ecosystems. It will require working lands adapted to climate change and the forest landowners and stakeholders willing to incorporate climate considerations into their practices.

Describe and explain current efforts toward climate-smart forestry practices in the Southern United States.
Describe major goals of the three forestry projects focusing on climate change and carbon forestry in the Southern United States.
