Sean Brogan was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. His father, who was a landscape architect, arborist and president of a tree care company, inspired him to become a forester. His mother, the long-time President of the Onondaga County Garden Club, showed him the beauty and joy associated with caring for trees and plants. After obtaining forestry and natural resource administration degrees from SUNY-ESF and NC State, he joined the NC Forest Service in 1998. He has served in six positions with the organization, the latest being the Asst. State Forester overseeing Forest Management & Development. Sean lives with his family in Raleigh and considers himself very fortunate to have a career that he loves. He is a proud NC Registered Forester and SAF Certified Forester who enjoys putting his experience and skills to use in ways that keep our working forests working.
