I am a first-year PhD student in Geospatial Analytics at the Center for Geospatial Analytics, North Carolina State University. I recently completed my master's program in Forestry in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources at North Carolina State University. My course combination includes forestry (Forest biometrics) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). My research focuses on developing models to understand carbon contributions within forested wetland ecosystems using structures from motion (SfM) and LiDAR. I hope my research informs decisions on developing better carbon budgets that will help us understand the role of wetlands as GHG sinks/sources in future climate scenarios. Also, I like meeting new people, learning about new things, exploring, and watching movies.
