Donna has a B.S. in Forestry from Utah State University (1979), and an M.S. in Agroforestry (2019) from the University of Missouri. Her career has always been in the southern & central plains - first working for the then Oklahoma Forestry Division, in northwestern Oklahoma, as a Service Forester. She served as a District Forester for the 7-county district in southeastern Colorado from 1984-2018, an Urban and Community Forestry Program Specialist for eastern Colorado from 2018 to July 2023, and is now retired after a 39-year career with the Colorado State Forest Service. Donna is Immediate Past Chair of the Southwest Agroforestry Action Network (SWAAN) representing AZ/CO/NM/UT. She is on the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter SAF Board serving as the UCF/AgF Committee contact and is the national SAF B4 Agroforestry Working Group Chair (2023/2024). She also serves on the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Rocky Mountain Chapter Board of Directors (CO/MT/NM/WY) as Colorado Executive Director and is a member of the Colorado Tree Coalition.
