Vovener is a Ph.D. student in natural resources at the University of Idaho, under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Nelson. He earned a Bachelor's degree in "Agronomy/Natural Resources and Environment" from the Université d'État d'Hati and a Master's degree in Horticultural Sciences from the University of Florida. During his master's degree studies, he conducted research on vanilla propagation and tissue culture techniques and contributed to the publication of an important study entitled "Vanilla Cultivation in Southern Florida." Vovener's current doctora research is concentrated on understanding "Drought Tolerance in Conifer Seedlings".
