Kira Pollack is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota where she studies eastern hemlock conservation and teaches undergraduates how to identify trees. Her professional interests include science communication and connecting youth and adults to their local outdoor spaces. Prior to beginning her master’s degree, Kira worked as a natural resource technician for Great River Greening and a crew leader for the Conservation Corps MN & IA Youth Outdoors program.
