I am a forest entomologist. My research interests include bark beetle ecology, disturbance ecology, invasive species, and chemical ecology. I am fascinated by bark beetle outbreak dynamics and the role they play in disturbance ecology of western forests. In particular, I am passionate about manipulating bark beetle populations by exploiting aspects of their chemical ecology. I also investigate invasive forest insect pests and their impacts on forest ecosystems.
