William Wade ("Bill") Keye is a California forester, teacher and writer. A two-time recipient (2000, 2005) of SAF's Outstanding Forestry Journalism Award, Keye has served in various leadership capacities in Cal SAF and the California Licensed Foresters Association (CLFA) during a career spanning 45 years since his first woods jobs as a tree planter and seasonal firefighter in Humboldt County, CA.
Bill Keye currently serves Cal SAF as Communication Chair, and has played a major policy role since re-engaging with the state society in 2021. He also serves on the leadership team of CCORP, the Caldor Cabin Owners Recovery Project.
