Chelsea is a current Masters student in the Natural Resource Science and Management program at the University of Minnesota. She graduated from Swarthmore College with a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies and is utilizing this undergraduate foundation to conduct graduate work in the Forest Resources department at UMN, focusing specifically on silviculture, forest health and management, and sustainability. She is passionate about forestry, restoration ecology, and approaching environmental education through an interdisciplinary lens, which tie in well with her current thesis project: regeneration and early growth dynamics of white spruce-aspen mixedwood stands.
