Katherine is a postdoctoral research fellow in silviculture and forest ecology, with the USDA Forest Service's Pacific Southwest Research Station. She is funded through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education. She is also completing her Ph.D. in Forestry and Ecology at Michigan State University in fall 2023. Her research interests include forest ecology, fire ecology, and plant-soil feedbacks.
