Brian is the Pacific Northwest Director for American Forests, where he works with public and private land managers to help them reach restoration objectives. Prior to American Forests, Brian was a silviculturist for WA Dept. of Nat. Resources, state forest nursery manager, earned a BS, MS, and PhD in forestry and is a CA Registered Professional Forester. He began his forestry career on a site prep crew in the Sierras and has since worked in the woods from South Carolina to Alaska and has been on engine and hand crews, set chokers, taught, marked timber, complied timbersales, and planted trees.
