Sabrina E. Russo is a Professor in the School of Biological Sciences and Center for Plant Science Innovation at University of Nebraska at Lincoln, USA. She received a B.A. from Harvard University and PhD at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Russo’s research focuses on understanding tree species’ life histories in terms of functional variation, resource-allocation trade-offs, and plant-biotic interactions in relation to environmental conditions. Russo is the PI of two large forest inventory plots at the prairie-forest boundary in Nebraska that address forest dynamics through multiple lenses, including seedling regeneration, remote sensing of tree stress, microclimates, and prescribed fire.
