Tara L. Brown, an interdisciplinary scientist and educator, is currently a Ph.D. candidate at UBC's Faculty of Forestry, focusing on nature-based solutions for human health and well-being. Her clinical trial in Vancouver parks explores the effects of forest bathing and environmental factors on health outcomes. Tara is a certified Forest Therapy Guide with expertise in mixed-methods research, environmental monitoring, and vegetation sampling. As a sustainability advocate, she co-founded organizations promoting STEAM education and citizen science while developing programs emphasizing the connection between health and environmental monitoring and advocating for the Earth Charter and Sustainable Development Goals.
