Originally from a small town outside of Fresno, California, I moved to San Luis Obispo in 2018 to go to school at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo. In June of 2022, I graduated from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo, with a B.S. in Forestry and Natural Resources and a B.S. in Environmental Management and Protection, with a minor in Watershed Management. I have continued at Cal Poly to pursue a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Management, with an emphasis in Hydrology.
My passion is water resource management for environmental and public health/safety at a watershed scale. Watershed management allows me to bridge my knowledge of forestry, environmental policy, soil science, fire ecology, and hydrology for the benefit of the environment and public health.
I currently work as an Assistant Water Resource Specialist for the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Here I have had the opportunity to inspect Best Management Plan (BMP) implementation for stream maintenance construction and vegetation work. This position has also helped me become more familiar with environmental policy and water resource management for flood protection and public safety in an urban environment.
