Professor & Extension Forester
Washington State University
SAF Working Group Officer
Pullman WA, Washington, United States
Andy is a professor, Extension Specialist, and team leader at Washington State University. His program helps meet educational needs of family forest owners, professional foresters, tribal staff, and silvicultural contractors. Previously, Andy worked for Weyerhaeuser, Plum Creek, and the US Forest Service marking timber, fighting fire, and surveying fish and wildlife throughout the PNW. In the middle of everything, his wife drug him into the Peace Corps. In the Ecuadorian jungle, Andy learned that what wakes him up and helps him sleep is by helping others understand why forests are important. Andy enjoys nature walks, bedtime stories, bonfires, and baseball.
