After graduating from the Forest School at the Yale School of the environment, Walker spent time as the Agroforestry Fellow at the Forest School where he helped develop the Northeast Forest Farmers Coalition as well as Yale's maple program. He is now the Director of the Living Lab at the Smokey House Center in Danby, VT, an applied research lab that demonstrates climate-smart agriculture and forestry practices on the 5,000 acre property. Walker is passionate about the development of non-timber forest product (NTFP) economies is the Northeast region.
