Chief Programs Officer
California Deer Association, United States
Dale MacDougall is the Chief Programs Officer for California Deer Association (CDA). He is fourth generation timber industry. At one time he owned the largest timber falling company in Western US, employing 80 fallers. In the 1980s he began developing timber harvest plans that were focused on wildlife. As the industry changed he started consulting on habitat restoration, and downsized his timber operations. Ultimately, that led to opportunity to work for CDA and do habitat restoration on public lands. Motto: I’d rather be 10% of something 100% successful vs. flipside.
