David Phillips is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Alabama (UA) in the Forest Dynamics Lab. He served in the U.S. Army before studying Environmental Science at UA. He earned his M.S. in Environment and Natural Resources from UA in 2021. David is interested in forest ecology, stand dynamics, and spatial ecology. His research focuses on stand dynamics and spatial patterns in Pinus palustris ecosystems. David expects to earn his Ph.D. by 2025.
