Dr. Villari is an associate professor of Forest Pathology at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. In her research, she focuses on both basic and applied forest pathology, particularly on the interactions among trees, fungal pathogens, and insect herbivores, spanning disciplines from molecular disease diagnostics to tree defense mechanisms. She leads an active laboratory and works in close collaboration with the Forest Service, the Georgia Forestry Commission, and the private industry sector.
