I am in my third year in the PhD program at the University of California, Berkeley in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management in the STEPHENS lab where I study fire and forest management, specifically by combining social science and spatial methods. I received a BS in forest resource management and an minor in Applied Economics from Virginia Tech in May 2020. Additionally, I have spent the last eight years rotating between academic pursuits and working as a firefighter for the US Forest Service and US Fish and Wildlife Service.
