Robert's forestry career began in his youth, immersed in the forested parkland surrounding the University of British Columbia. He has always been drawn to forests, and believes in the important of knowledge in informing decisions about place in the natural world. Robert's experience has been further shaped by academic and professional experiences in British Columbia, Idaho, Michigan, and Alberta, and is the foundation of Robert’s research and teaching in forest biometrics, modelling, and growth and yield. He now makes his home in Alberta, Canada.
