This poster will be looking at the effects of both water availability and nutrient addition on the trade off between investment in defense and growth in commercial loblolly pine (pinus taeda) in southeastern Oklahoma.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion the participant will understand why resin defenses are important for pine tree resilience against bark beetle attack.
Upon completion the participant will understand how different resource availabilities can influence the growth and defense expression of pine trees.
