Forest Economist BBER FIRP - UM SAF Working Group Officer Missoula, Montana, United States
The economic condition of the forest products industry is a key component in forest planning and management. Using novel methods, we build a series of regional and national coefficients that express the relationship between changes in forest output and changes in employment and wages across several forest products industry sectors.
Learning Objectives:
compare the relative labor efficiency of the forest products industry across different sectors and regions.
utilize publicly-available economic tools to assess the labor and wage impacts of a forest project or program.
