The study addresses knowledge gap on the feasibility of mass timber manufacturing in Michigan through a comprehensive characterization of the feedstock quantity and supply pathways in Michigan and future demand for mass timber in The Great Lakes region to support stakeholders in informed decision making.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to appraise the perception and level of knowledge of different stakeholders and professionals towards prospective manufacturing of mass timber in Michigan. Participants will be able to identify why how both demand and supply pathways ensures sustainability of the mass industry.
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand consumers knowledge on mass timber and acceptance as well as other economic and policy factors evolve as major demand related factors for mass timber development in the US.
