The 3DForests Project aims to evaluate the use of remote sensing techniques to rapidly and more accurately estimate aboveground biomass (AGB) for a range of tree species and estimate crucial fuels parameters to help validate or refine fuel treatment tools and fire behavior models across diverse California forests.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to define two different remote sensing approaches to measure tree aboveground biomass and forest structure variables.
Participants will acquire knowledge about current research being conducted to estimate fuels parameters to help validate or refine fuel treatment tools and fire behavior models.
